Bobby is now the head-clinician at the newly formed Weaver Elite Wrestling Club, who house many of the best wrestlers in the Lehigh Valley. Bobby has been molding his club-wrestlers for the past 10 years. Weaver Elite has turned out several State & National champions.
 
He is Lehigh's only Olympic gold medalist with his victory in the 1984 Games in Los Angeles, pinning Takashie Irie of Japan in the 105.5-pound finals.
 
Weaver also made the 1980 Olympic team which did not compete due to the United States boycott. In 1976 he was an Olympic alternate. He also won two World Cup titles at 105.5 and placed second and fifth at the World Championships. While at Lehigh, Weaver was a two-time EIWA champion at 118-pounds in 1982 and 1983. An All-American in 1982 after a third place finish at the NCAA's, Weaver accumulated an overall mark of 57-14-1.
 
A graduate of Easton High School, Weaver has been actively teaching and coaching wrestling for the last 15 years. He is a member of the United Way, Big Brother/ Big Sister program, Easton P.A.L. and active with the March of Dimes.
 
Weaver and his wife Lori, have three children,
Robert Jr., Tiffany, and Jessica and currently reside in Easton.
